Just perfect overall experience. Cool hotel with everything clean throughout and an absolutely perfect and nice location near revitalized downtown. Very helpful staff providing great services. Location close enough to trendy bars/restaurants as well as a a lovely, large park that had a fountain, playground, and gazebo...

Champaign Garden Inn has a charming atmosphere. The Victorian home radiates character, and the decor with stained glass lighting adds to its warmth. My room was cozy and clean, with a firm mattress that suited my needs perfectly. The breakfast offered a good selection. I especially enjoyed the yogurt and fruit. The check-in process was seamless, and having easy access to snacks and coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. The lack of staff presence sometimes was great. The shower in my room was in a converted old-fashioned bathtub, which could pose challenges for those with mobility issues. Nonetheless, the overall experience was cute, and I look forward to staying again.

Garden inn should redefine what hospitality means. It's shocking that a $300 room comes with limited breakfast options like oatmeal packets! Plus, i expected a warm welcome, not an impersonal checklist. I almost considered mentioning the beautiful decor but couldn't ignore the glaring lack of staff. A disappointing experience that was NOT worth the price.

Charming location with a few quirks

The Victorian architecture captured my heart, and the cozy sitting areas made for perfect relaxation after a day of exploring. I also appreciated the easy access to the local restaurant scene.

I did find the breakfast offerings somewhat limited-most items were pre-packaged. The lack of onsite staff made interactions a bit distant.
